PREMIERE: Watch Brigitte Bardini’s Lush Video For New Song ‘Wild Ride’

Brigitte Bardini’s latest, ‘Wild Ride’, is a lush folk-pop cut that sees the Melbourne singer-songwriter meditate assuredly on pursuing one’s passions, anchored around her sugary vocals and softly-strummed, twangy guitars. Written and recorded in Bardini’s home studio, there are hints of Stella Donnelly and Gretta Ray throughout.

“‘Wild Ride’ is a coming of age track written about my decision to take a risk and pursue music full time. It’s a track that really took on a mind of its own, becoming relevant at every crossroad that has presented itself since I wrote the demo,” Bardini explains.

“It holds a great significance to me as it’s an open book and offers me nothing to hide behind, so I see it as a powerful tool to grow as a person and as an artist.”

‘Wild Ride’ arrives alongside a video directed by Wilk, which we’re premiering here at Music Feeds today. In it, Bardini stands surrounded by an ivy-covered forest, with blissed-out psychedelic patterns wrapping around the footage.

“Wilk really captured the coming of age element to the song, as well as the otherworldly adventure of making a big life change and leaping into the pursuit of a passion.”

Following ‘Aphrodite’ last year, ‘Wild Ride’ is the second single to be released thus far from Bardini’s forthcoming album Stellar Lights, which is set to arrive later this year. Watch the video below.
