Britney Spears Appears To Respond To Viral Documentary

Taking to Twitter this afternoon, Britney Spears has appeared to have broken her silence on the now viral doco, Framing Britney Spears.

The documentary, presented by Hulu and The New York Times, takes a deep dive into Britney’s long and successful career, whilst looking into her cruel mistreatment by the media and the public. The doco touches on her public breakdown back in 2007, as well as the very controversial conservatorship arrangement she is currently controlled by.

Though it’s not yet available in Australia, it’s been hard to ignore the outcries and outrage of international fans and celebrities across the internet today. Earlier, Britney appeared to respond to the public’s concern, writing on Twitter that “each person has their story”.

“Each person has their story and their take on other people’s stories! We all have so many different bright beautiful lives,” she wrote.

“Remember, no matter what we think we know about a person’s life it is nothing compared to the actual person living behind the lens.”

Page Six reported today that Spears was “emotional” after watching the documentary. The source – who is close to the star – said that Spears is “hopeful she will finally be freed from the vice-like grip of her father”.

“There are parts of the film that were too hard and emotional for her to watch — the scenes that describe the most difficult times of her life, the relentless media circus and the harsh focus on her as a young mother. But, she feels, for the first time in many years, that people are on her side and things will get better for her,” the source said.

Earlier today, Spears’ boyfriend Sam Asghari took to Instagram to share his thoughts on Spears’ dad, Jamie Spears. In all caps, he posted that in his opinion, Jamie Spears is a “TOTAL DICK”.
