Flume returns in 2021 with his first bit of music, courtesy of a remix he’s put together for PC Music alumni Danny L Harle, out via Diplo’s label Mad Decent.
The track features on Harle’s debut albom Harlecore. ‘On A Mountain’ is credited to Harle as both himself and one of his many alter ego’s – DJ Danny. Where the original is a nod to 90’s hardcore rave and trance, Flume brings it back to future bass territory.
Flume’s last release was his totally serious take on Eiffel 65’s ‘Blue (Da Ba Dee)’ back at the tail end of 2020. His last original release was his massive collaboration with Toro Y Moi, titled ‘The Difference’, which clocked in at number three in the Hottest 100.
