PREMIERE: Sydney Indie-Pop Band 90ivy Unveil Happy-Sad Breakup Bop, ‘Now Or Later’

Sydney indie-pop quartet 90ivy (FKA The Flowers) are about to drop their brand new single ‘Now Or Later’ on the world — and we’ve got your exclusive sneak peak down below.

A bright, wistful bop led by the endearing vocals of lead singer Agnes O’Dwyer, ‘Now or Later’ is described by the band as a “happy-sad take on a breakup song”.

“We love exploring contrast with our music, and this track is a good example of that as we juxtapose upbeat melodies and instrumentation with storytelling centred around heartbreak,” O’Dwyer explains.

“The track came together so organically. Tom just started playing around with this bouncy, syncopated bass line during one of our jam sessions. It immediately caught all of our attention, and everyone stopped what they were doing to figure the song out. Liam came up with his infectious, 1975-esque riff almost immediately and the verse and chorus lines came to me on the spot, which very rarely happens.”

The track comes hot on the heels of 90ivy signing with Sydney-based artist services agency Good Intent (Fangz, Bootleg Rascal) for management, after previously sharing the stage with EGOISM, CLEWS, Teenage Dads, The Moving Stills and more.
