Delta Goodrem Just Made The Eurovision Grand Final – Australia Might Actually Win This?!

Australia might actually be about to pull this off…

Delta Goodrem has officially stormed through to the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 – and after THAT performance, people are genuinely starting to wonder if she could go all the way.

Delta Goodrem – Eclipse (LIVE) | Australia ?? | Second Semi-Final | Eurovision 2026

Performing her dramatic power ballad Eclipse during Semi Final Two in Vienna, Goodrem didn’t just break Australia’s rough recent Eurovision qualification streak, she absolutely detonated online discourse in the process, surging into second place across fan polls and betting odds following the broadcast.

At the time of writing, Australia is sitting just behind Finland’s current favourites Linda Lampenius & Pete Parkkonen and their violin-fuelled chaos anthem, Liekinheitin.

And tbh Delta’s staging looked every bit like a winning Eurovision performance.

The Aussie icon emerged inside a giant moon structure before descending onto a glittering golden piano, eventually climbing atop it as hidden lifts raised her skyward for the song’s climactic finale – complete with pyrotechnics, an enormous sun backdrop and a literal eclipse forming behind her.

Subtle? Absolutely not. Eurovision? Extremely.

Fans online immediately began calling it one of the standout performances of the entire semi-final, with many praising both the sheer theatricality of the staging and Goodrem’s powerhouse vocal performance.

And yep – naturally – the outfit also went absurdly hard.

Goodrem wore a custom couture gown created by Sydney label Velani by Nicky in collaboration with House of Emmanuele, featuring roughly 7,000 Swarovski crystals and reportedly requiring more than 500 hours of craftsmanship.

Basically: if you’re gonna do Eurovision, THIS is how you do Eurovision.

“Performing on the Eurovision stage is something I feel so deeply in my heart,” Goodrem said following the performance. “Carrying Australia with me in every note and every moment.”

“It was also incredibly important to me to wear the vision of Australian designers, while weaving in the beauty and elegance of our host city, Vienna.”

This marks Australia’s eleventh appearance at Eurovision overall – and after two years of failing to qualify for the Grand Final, the response to Goodrem’s performance feels especially huge.

It also continues a massive year for the singer, whose Eurovision entry Eclipse topped the Australian AIR Independent Singles Chart following its release back in March.

Now, all eyes turn to Sunday morning’s Grand Final broadcast, where Goodrem will attempt to pull off what would easily go down as one of Australia’s biggest Eurovision moments ever.

And based on the reaction so far… she might actually have a real shot.
