Action Bronson recently gave his biggest performance ever at St. Hilda’s Community Centre in the UK. Continuing the rapper’s collaboration with Noisey, Bronson was scheduled to perform in Room 1 of the old folks home, coming up against a brass-cleaning class that was scheduled for Room 2.
The Queens native gave a slightly censored performance of his single Strictly 4 My Jeeps off his recent EP, Saab Stories. Bronson got up close and personal with the “crowd” during the intimate performance. Speaking before the gig, he said: “I don’t care about Coachella, or nowhere in New York, or the Garden. All about St. Hilda’s.”
Asked for their thoughts on rap music, the residents echoed similar sentiments to this one tenet: “It’s not my scene. You can’t understand what they’re saying, it’s far too quick and it’s far too loud.” When asked to score Bam Bam’s performance out of 10, the Queens lover averaged out at a respectable score of 5.2.
Though he described it as “the most electrifying performance of my career.”
