Tours are essentially off until the near (hopefully?) future. Even cinemas have only just begun to open around the country. But, Disney+ is combining the best of both worlds by giving the east coast a touring drive-in cinema.
The tour is being presented by OpenAir cinemas and taking place in both Brisbane and Sydney, with plans to eventually head to Melbourne once cases of coronavirus have settled in Victoria.
Kicking off in mid September for Brisbane and mid October for Sydney, a wide selection of films available to watch on Disney+ will air on the big screen for you to view from the comfort of your own car.
There’ll be Disney Pixar favourites airing, like Cars and Finding Nemo, as well as Marvel classics like Black Panther and Thor: Ragnarok. There’ll be old school animations like 101 Dalmatians and The Jungle Book, as well as nostalgic films like Hocus Pocus and The Princess Diaries.
Tickets are on sale now for the Brisbane showing times, going til mid October, at the Northshore Riverfront Event Space, Hamilton.
While Melbourne’s venue is yet to be confirmed, Sydney’s event will happen at Bankwest Stadium in Parramatta.
