Watch The Deliciously Ridiculous Trailer For The ‘Between Two Ferns’ Movie, Coming To Netflix This Month

Zach Galifianakis’ Between Two Ferns series was born on the internet in 2008. In the Funny or Die series’ 21-episode run, Galifianakis traded barbs with celebrities like Natalie Portman, Ben Stiller, Justin Bieber and even Barack Obama, creating some of the most deliciously awkward viewing the net has produced.

Now, Between Two Ferns is getting a movie, and it’s coming to Netflix on September 20th. Directed by Scott Aukerman, who directed many of the original series’ episodes, the film sees Galifianakis and crew embark on a road trip in order to film interviews for the show.

The film appears to be a mix of plot-driven narrative and the show’s interview style, opening with Galifianakis asking Matthew McConaughey “Of all the things you can win an Oscar for, how surprised are you that you won one for acting?”

The trailer features a ton of recognisable faces, including McConaughey, Will Ferrell, Peter Dinklage, Benedict Cumberbatch and Brie Larson. Other celebrities set to appear in the film include Paul Rudd, Tiffany Haddish, Keanu Reeves, Jon Hamm and Chance the Rapper.
