Christmas came early this year! The holiday-themed special of Zach Galifianakis’ hilariously awkward web series Between Two Ferns, features Samuel L. Jackson, Tobey Maguire and Arcade Fire performing Christmas carols, for all your holiday weirdness.
In the five-minute episode, Galifianakis tells Maguire to “keep his fucking mouth shut” and hands out Blu-ray copies of his 2012 film The Campaign. All the while, the 10-piece Arcade Fire, dressed in their best Christmas suits, perform their left-of-centre version of Little Drummer Boy. Régine Chassagne gets ridiculously falsetto, Win Butler lights a cigarette and the other guests get sick from a shower of asbestos snow. Happy Kwanzza!
The previous episode of Between Two Ferns featured an exclusive interview with a calm and collected Justin Bieber. Surprises abounded for Beliebers and otherwise across the world as Bieber took the lecturing in his stride, the “seven-year-old” (according to the host) even managing some quips of his own. When asked what he’s thinking while on stage Bieber replied, “I really wish I was watching Cops right now.” Who knew? The Biebs has a sense of humour after all.
