It’s just a few days before Halloween and Sydney’s Horrorwood Mannequins are probably still rotten from their hangovers after taking out the trophy for Best Metal Song of 2016 at last night’s Music Oz Awards, so what better time for them to unleash some monstrous new music upon the world.
The heavy riffing gorelords have come crashing out of their graves with the Ezekiel Ox-produced EP Under Your Bed — a four-track beast that’s packing three original tunes, plus a nasty cover of Nirvana’s classic Negative Creep — which you can stream exclusively, below.
“The new material is fresher than a warm corpse,” Horrorwood poetically explain. “So grab yourself a shovel, because we know you will dig it.”
And that’s not all that’s going down in Planet Horrorwood RN. The punk creeps have also dropped a fucked-up new video for the disc’s lead single Burn It To The Ground and announced a stack of tour dates to boot.
Beefing up the list of epic supports they’ve already racked up this year, the Horrorwood lads will be hitting the road with Aussie heavyweights Superheist, Earth Caller, Segression and their producer/newly recruited Superheist frontman Ezekiel Ox at some of his solo shows, in addition to their previously announced slot at the debut Legion festival.
