PREMIERE: Feast Your Eye On Nocturnal Tapes’ Quirky ‘Wake Up’ Video

Nocturnal Tapes have their eyes and their hearts wide open on latest dance-floor jam ‘Wake Up’ and it’s clear from the track’s accompanying video, premiering here today, they’re looking to open our eyes too.

Shot in the duo’s hometown of NSW town Yamba by director James Buckingham, the video takes direction from the track’s message of contemplating mortality as motivation for living life to its full potential, via the personal journey of, well, an anthropomorphised eye with enviable dance moves. As far as life lessons go, Nocturnal Tapes have provided a fun way to learn them.

“Nocturnal Tapes have a lot of nostalgia and love for their home town, Yamba, I wanted to capture some of that with a 90s-style B-grade vibe,” explains Buckingham. “Growing up in a small town you can sometimes feel trapped or not much happens, however, if you dig deep, you’ll always find something special.”

‘Wake Up’ is taken from the duo’s recently released debut EP Visions IV. The guys are currently in the midst of a national tour supporting Luke Million and are expected to announce their own headline tour very soon. Watch this space.
