On the back of the success of ‘Never Lose You’, Wollongong indie-rockers GOSH are premiering their brand new track ‘Say Another Thing’ on Music Feeds today.
‘Say Another Thing’ is full of infectious melodies and an impassioned build in instrumentals and intensity. Reminiscent of Gang Of Youth’s-style anthemic rock, there’s lots of punchy guitar and swirling vocal hooks. Its subject matter pulls no punches either, the band channeling their angst and anger into a rallying cry against consumerism and corruption: “To break through the ceiling, is hard when you’re kneeling.”
The GOSH guys say they tried to push the message of this track further, “in terms of expressing a point, and saying something beyond our immediate sights and emotions”. GOSH say the accompanying black and white video mirrors the instrumentation of the track in aesthetic form.
“This song just felt like it could maybe use a little more explaining with a film clip, and so we dived head first into the whole ‘concept’ thing and ran with it.”
“It was particularly useful for the choruses, which I think can almost seem on a different tangent to the upfront bluntness of the verses. The video really let us tie the two lyric ideas together though, and made the whole track seem a lot more cohesive, which is crucial for a song with a message.”
The four-piece are supporting Pacific Avenue on their You tour this month. ‘Say Another Thing’ is out this Friday, have a listen down below.
