PREMIERE: Inklines Deliver Rich, Warm Alt Rock With New Single ‘All Gone’

Inklines are gearing up to release a new EP, but before they do, they’ve delivered a brand new single ‘All Gone’.

‘All Gone’ possesses all the qualities of Australian alt-rock that fans of the genre around the world love – rich and warm vocals, with a chorus can you visualise being chanted at a packed arena. Coupled with both pulsing and delicate guitars, with production from Lachlan West, ‘All Gone’ sounds like a future classic.

‘All Gone’ is the second Inklines have delivered this year so far, following on from the release of ‘Blossoms’ back in February.

“‘All Gone’ fell together pretty quickly in the studio as we had been gigging for a few months beforehand, and we were all ready to get back into the writing process,” the band said in a press statement.

“It definitely helped that this track is on the mellow side of things, as it really allowed us to let the song flow and take its own course.”

The band have also delivered a music video for the track, which was shot by Inklines themselves with editing from frequent collaborator Simon O’Hagan.

“As always, we seem to struggle coming up with ideas for music videos and even if we do land on an idea, the final product ends up being completely different anyway,” the band said.

“We initially started filming parts at Will’s house in broad daylight, but once we lost the sun and started playing with coloured lights it just completely mutated. We liked the dark vibe it was taking on, so to finish the day off we went into the yard and burned an old guitar that had been sitting around for ages with a broken neck, just for some extra visual effect.”

If you like what you hear, the band will be performing an acoustic set at Brookvale’s 7th Day Brewery on Thursday, 3rd June.
