Kota Banks has been riding the waves of ‘Snip Snip’ since it was released a few weeks ago, and now she’s finally released an accompanying music video.
The video is absolutely bursting at the seams with confidence, attitude and self-assurance, with Kota standing strong – armed with scissors – in front of a variety of hyper-coloured backgrounds.
‘I love this visual and I’m so excited to release it because I know it’s the one my followers have been dying for!” Kota tells Music Feeds.
“It’s definitely quite a DIY vibe, that’s COVID circumstances for you – but I think we managed to keep it super tongue in cheek and colourful.
“It’s all about strength and taking your power back, especially as a woman, and so the video game / Bratz doll motifs that run through it are references to ‘players’ and the dating “game”. Controlling these things in this scenario was a way for me to remind myself that I can be in control of these situations! Snip snip that toxic energy.”
In addition, today also sees the release of her Sweet And The Spice remix EP, featuring remixes from our own Ninajirachi and UK based producer KG.
