Melbourne-based band Wilderglow have offered up a stunning, nostalgic and heartstring-pulling music video for their track ‘My Days’.
The one part gloomy, one part heartwarming clip, directed by Zach Harris, tells a story of unrequited love and longing for something more, but also is cloaked in an undertone of “it’s all going to be okay”.
The band says the video perfectly matches the emotions they wanted the song to evoke.
“The song is simply about unrequited love and the whole idea behind the music video draws upon that,” they explain.
“Because the lyrics are quite abstract but also tie in to the idea of a love song, we wanted to create a video that represented the abstract/ love song feel in a gloomy but also poppy way.
“The melancholy undertone of the song along with the video is sure to provoke a mixed set of emotions for the viewer.
“Playing on the emotions of despair – trying to get something that is just out of reach but also the general feeling that everything will be okay in the end. All in all we want the viewer to feel whatever they want to feel from the video.”
