US ambient rock group This Will Destroy You have announced their first ever Australian tour for March 2013. The band rose to worldwide prominence with the release of their debut Young Mountain and since then have seen their popularity explode with a series of EPs and follow up albums S/T and Tunnel Blanket.
Australian fans have long been angling for a tour since the release of Tunnel Blanket through Australian independent label Hobbledehoy. A chance meeting at SXSW 2012 introduced the band to sleepmakeswaves’ management The Bird’s Robe Collective and started the ball rolling towards the tour.
TWDY will visit Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Perth & Adelaide in March 2013, with special guests to be announced.
