Fresh from showcasing at Brisbane’s BIGSOUND music conference, indie rock quartet Sunscreen have taken cover from Sydney’s harmful UV rays by rocking out in a sauna.
Busting out a live rendition of their 2017 single ‘Voices’ as part of Swedish cider icon Rekorderlig’s unique new concert series Rekorderlig Sauna Sounds, the guitar-pop peddlers bring even more heat to the unconventional steam room stage.
Designed to showcase a selection of stellar emerging local talent alongside the spontaneous Swedish lifestyle (which Rekorderlig is all about), Rekorderlig Sauna Sounds has been serving up a series of guerrilla gigs filmed inside saunas around Australia over the past few weeks.
Think ‘Tiny Desk Concerts’ — only much, much hotter.
Sunscreen follow in the footsteps of fellow Sydney shooting stars B Wise, Milan Ring, CLYPSO and Nick Nuisance & The Delinquents, who have already brought the musical heat for Rekorderlig Sauna Sounds, and you can check out their performances right here.
