Somber Hills has just released his latest single, “Not There,” which is a blend of elements of emo pop punk with hits of hip-hop. The song is about the singer’s journey of chasing dreams and exploring roads of self-discovery. The song is an ode to accepting the ups and downs of life, connecting with listeners because it’s really honest.
While talking about the track, Somber Hills said this, “I felt creativity take the wheel while writing this song. As always, there was nothing I deliberately chose to write about. But deep down there was something true that needed to be said. I cried when I heard the final mix and the song made sense to me. I truly wouldn’t trade a thing for what I have and have built this far, and I’m so excited to see where this project goes with the beautiful people I have around me.”
Somber Hills – ‘Not There’
“Not There” follows the release of Somber’s project ‘Where’s My Guitar’ last year, which featured the singles ‘Some Say’, ‘Sometimes (My Brain Doesn’t Work)’ featuring Between You and Me, and “Hollywood” featuring BESTIES. “Pain Station” was also released by him earlier in 2023, which had singles like ‘Hurdles,’ ‘YDS’ and ‘Guilt’.
Somber Hills, also known as Lukas Martin, tries to mix every musical inspiration from Paramore to Radiohead to Travis Scott and create energetic alt-rap or rock tunes that keep the listeners grooving. His music brings people together, whether it is at a house party or dancing in the haze of smoke.
