Absolute megastar Billie Eilish will release a new single this week, the singer has confirmed on social media.
A masked-up Eilish took to Instagram over the weekend to announce the impending release. Titled ‘my future’, we know objectively very little about the track just yet, other than the fact it’s arriving this bloody Thursday (30th July). It’s not clear at this stage whether ‘my future’ is a standalone single or is part of a larger forthcoming project.
The track follows Eilish’s James Bond theme ‘No Time To Die’ way back in February, which itself followed 2019 single ‘everything i wanted’. Both tunes arrived after Eilish dropped huge debut album WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO? last year.
Back in March, Eilish’s brother/collaborator Finneas shared the news that the pair were already at work on a follow-up to her multi-Grammy Award-winning debut.
“We’ve started working on the new album, and I think the best thing we can do is stay out of our own way. The first album was pretty pure in its intention,” he told Vulture.
“Our only target was to make an album that we liked, to play live. I think that’s all we’re gonna do for the second. All the other things are side effects. You can’t aim for those.”
