A Perfect Circle Honour AC/DC’s Malcolm Young With Cover Of ‘Dog Eat Dog’

American rockers A Perfect Circle have paid tribute to late AC/DC guitarist Malcolm Young by releasing a cover of Acca Dacca’s 1977 Let There Be Rock album cut ‘Dog Eat Dog’.

Speaking about the cover, A Perfect Circle vocalist Maynard James Keenan described the performance as “a belated farewell nod to Malcolm Young, who, along with Bon Scott, played a significant role in my rebellious, hasher youth”.

“God Speed, Malcolm,” he said.

A Perfect Circle have released the cover as part of a Record Store Day Black Friday release, which also features their original song ‘So Long, And Thanks for All the Fish’. The vinyl release will be available in select US retailers, but you can stream the band’s cover of ‘Dog Eat Dog’ down below.

A Perfect Circle reportedly “hope” to tour Australia behind their latest album Eat The Elephant, after last performing down under as part of Soundwave Festival in 2013.

Malcolm Young, meanwhile, will still reportedly feature on the next AC/DC album, after passing away in November 2017 at the age of 64.
