All That Remains Guitarist Oli Herbert’s Cause Of Death Revealed

CONTENT WARNING: The following article discusses depression.

All That Remains member Oli Herbert’s cause of death has been revealed, after the guitarist died last month at the age of 44.

Herbert’s widow, Beth, has taken to the musician’s Facebook page to tell his followers that he died by drowning, and explained that a toxicology report showed anti-depressants and a sleep aid in his system.

“Oli was apparently self-treating for manic-depression that has run in his family for several generations,” said Beth.

“Anti-depressants were found in his system, as well as a sleep aid. The psych meds found in his system were the same ones that a close relative has been prescribed for a long time, so he knew what to hunt down for the ‘treatment’.

“Seeing how he was not going (and WOULDN’T GO) to a doctor to get diagnosed with the issue and was not being prescribed the medications and monitored on them, it explains his occasional erratic behavior here at home.”

Herbert was reportedly found dead in a pond near his Connecticut home.

Herbert formed All That Remains in 1998, and last toured Australia with the band as part of Soundwave Festival 2011.

The band released their latest album Victim Of The New Disease on Friday, 9th November.
