Following the sad cancellation of Falls Festival in Lorne this week due to extreme weather conditions and bushfire danger, a slew of artists from the lineup including Halsey, YUNGBLUD, Peking Duk & more announced last-minute shows throughout Melbourne, with profits going to bushfire relief services.
More followed suit yesterday (Baker Boy, These New South Wales, Bad//Dreems & more) and today, we have another heartening gig announcement!
Punks boys & gals Amyl & The Sniffers, Private Function and Camp Cope DJ duo Georgia Maq and Kelly-Dawn Hellmrich have joined forces to throw a colossal bushfire benefit show tonight in honour of New Years Eve.
The benefit gig will go down at Melbourne rock’n’roll dive bar Globe Alley with tickets just $10 at the doors, which will open at 6pm sharp (so first in, best dressed).
All proceeds, including 10% of bar sales, will be donated to the Victorian CFA.
Elsewhere, Lime Cordiale are also throwing a NYE bash at The Croxton tonight, while These New South Wales, Bad//Dreems, Totally Unicorn and Eaglemont will be ringing in the New Year at Stay Gold, with entry by donation (and money raised going to the firies.)
