Anderson .Paak Is Teasing Something With Kendrick Lamar

Anderson .Paak has taken to Instagram today to reveal that ~something~ is in the works between he and Kendrick Lamar.

The photo shows the two of them together, with a simple hype-building caption: ‘October 4th.’

The two critically acclaimed artist have been good mates for a while now, and have appeared on projects together but never on the same song. They both featured in Dr. Dre’s 2015 album Compton, as well as the soundtrack to Black Panther which was curated by Lamar.

However, they have collaborated live before, when Paak brought out Lamar to perform Lamar’s hit ‘Backseat Freestyle’ back in 2016 at Coachella.

Paak is currently working on his third studio album – the follow-up to 2016’s Malibu – and Lamar would be one hell of a feature to score. We smell a future triple j Hottest 100 topper.

ICYMI, Paak is headlining the stacked Falls Festival lineup over the New Year period and just announced a string of sideshows. Kendrick, however, was in the country back in July, with a groundbreaking headlining set at Splendour In The Grass.
