Scottish singer-songwriter Angela McCluskey known for her biggest hits like “Breathe” passed away on 14th March 2024. However, the reason for her death remains undisclosed.
She was an active member of the folk-rock group Wild Colonials and also worked extensively with a French electronic group Télépopmusik. Her music was also featured in shows like Grey’s Anatomy.
Angela McCluskey was born in Glasgow and moved to California in 1993, and formed the Wild Colonials there and published albums such as ‘Fruit of Life’ and ‘This Can’t Be Life’.

Angela McCluskey; ‘s death was confirmed via an Instagram post on her page. “We are devastated to tell you that our beloved Angela McCluskey has left us to be with her fellow angels. Never did anyone live life more fully, love more generously, sing more….well, just….more. Angela sang just as she breathed. Her life was a song, and she was music. She will be missed more than any of us can say, but our love for her and her love for her beloved Paul, her siblings Gerard, Alan and Muriel, and all her family and friends will live forever. Please light a candle for our darling.”
Rain Phoenix, the sister of Oscar-winning actor Joaquin Phoenix, also paid tribute to her saying “ Rest in power dear Angela… a generous no-nonsense powerhouse, with effortless style, wicked humor, and a voice most beautiful – there will never be another”
Angela McCluskey left an indelible mark on the music industry. She will be remembered for her iconic songs and her legacy will continue to inspire the upcoming generation.
