There’s been chatter about a new Angels & Airwaves record for quite a while now, with Tom Delonge first updating us on the status of the band’s next album last April when the band shared ‘All That’s Left Is Love’ to raise funds for US charity, Feeding America.
Now, it’s all systems go, with the band officially giving the green light on Lifeforms, their first album in seven years.
The album was announced today via a partnership the band has with UK-based aerospace company Sent Into Space. The company celebrated the launch of a new renewable hydrogen capsule which was sent into space today to play Lifeforms in its entirety out into space. During the launch, they also displayed the LP information and shared news of the band’s upcoming world tour. For someone like Tom Delonge, I guess you could say it was an out of this world experience.
The record will house 10 tracks in total, including their previously released single ‘Euphoria’. It will land on Friday, 24th September, and to keep us on the edge of our seats, they’ve shared the first single from the record, titled ‘Restless Souls’. Listen to the track below.
Alongside the album and single, Angels & Airwaves have also announced a massive 21/22 tour around the US and the UK.
