Finally, a story about a gig from the weekend that doesn’t include a trip to a hospital (sorry not sorry Dave and Mikey), with a Future Islands show yesterday receiving an unexpected guest in the form of Arcade Fire’s Win Butler.
Butler joined the Baltimore rock outfit for a surprise appearance during their Burlington, Canada show put on by an online car dealership, waltzing on stage during Seasons (Waiting On You), borrowing the microphone from Sam and busting out a few lines of the epic track himself.
Check out some footage of the moment Arcade Islands (wait, no, Future Fire sounds cooler) came into existence. It’s definitely a ~different~ take on the vocals, that’s for sure.
