Arctic Monkeys Sexed-Up Video For ‘Why’d You Only Call Me When You’re High?’

The UK’s Arctic Monkeys have released the video for their latest single, Why’d You Only Call Me When You’re High? off their upcoming fifth studio album AM. The single was released today in tandem with the stylish new vid.

The surreal clip, directed by Nabil Elderkin, features a loaded Alex Turner trekking through town with sex thoroughly on the brain. The hallucinating Turner tries to avoid trouble as he makes his way through the streets while texting a booty call. Director Elderkin has also worked with Frank Ocean, Bon Iver, GOOD Music and Foals.

The upcoming Monkeys album is slated for a local release on Friday, 6th September and will feature a collaboration with Queens Of The Stone Age frontman Josh Homme, continuing the working relationship between the two bands. Homme produced the Monkeys’ 2009 release Humbug, and Turner was featured on QOTSA’s …Like Clockwork, released earlier this year.
