Having been locked up since his arrest on Tuesday, 7th May, As I Lay Dying frontman Tim Lambesis is now no longer listed as an inmate of the Vista Detention Facility after posting bail. The amount was set at $2 million dollars after the previous sums were deemed unreasonable.
Bail was initially set at $20 million before being cut down to $3 million, and finally hitting $2 million on Friday, 17th May. The San Diego County Sherriff’s Department is yet to comment on Lambesis’ release but his next day in court will be Wednesday, 26th June.
Earlier this month the frontman was arrested at a bookstore after unknowingly hiring an undercover police officer to murder his recently estranged wife of 8 years. Lambesis approached a member of his gym who introduced him to the “contact”, who was then handed $1,000, photos of the target and preferred times for the hit to take place.
The singer’s defence relies heavily on claims that his state of mind was impacted by heavy steroid use.
