Popular comedian Atsuko Okatsuka’s much-anticipated Australian tour faces a slight delay, moving from April to July/August due to unforeseen scheduling conflicts.
The tour, starting in Perth and spanning Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane, promises an exciting showcase of her new show, Full Grown.
Atsuko Okatsuka – ‘Stand-Up-Comedy’
Hailing from LA, Atsuko Okatsuka is more than just a comedian; she’s also an actor and writer. Born in Taiwan and raised in Japan, her multicultural background adds depth to her comedy.
Her stand-up special, “The Intruder,” directed by Tig Notaro and premiered on HBO, garnered critical acclaim, earning the title of Best Debut Special of 2022 by the New York Times and praise from Vulture and Variety.
Atsuko Okatsuka’s accolades include winning the 2023 Gracie Award for Best Special and nominations for Best Comedian at the Wowie Awards. Variety recognized her as one of the “10 Comics to Watch” in 2022. Atsuko’s late-night debut on The Late Late Show with James Corden further solidified her comedic prowess.
Despite the tour’s rescheduling, fans eagerly anticipate the chance to experience Atsuko’s unique brand of comedy and storytelling when tickets go on sale on Friday, December 8.
