The smoke is still yet to clear from the impact of their surprise new album The Stage, but Avenged Sevenfold are already locking in their next steps. Today, guitarist Synyster Gates has revealed to Music Feeds that those steps will include a run of new Australian shows.
Gates confirms the band will be heading down under “as soon as we possibly can”, adding that things are very much still in the works at this point, but they’re determined as ever to return to our shores.
Asked about when the band will bring The Stage to Australia, Gates says, “There’s so many things in the works, so no concrete plans unfortunately. I wish I could break them for you now. But very, very soon. It’s one of my favourite places to fucking go. It’s a piece of cake flight. I love that shit.”
Avenged Sevenfold last toured Australia back in 2014 as part of Soundwave festival. Prior to that, they’d maintained a fairly healthy touring routine of our stages.
Next time around is surely to be an completely different beast (and/or harlot) with a progressive new album, new drummer Brooks Wackerman on the skins and more oomph than ever before.
Music Feeds full chat with Synyster Gates is coming soon.
