Avicii Shares Hospital Footage From His Difficult 2013 Australian Tour

Avicii‘s 2013 Australian tour almost ended before it had even begun, when the EDM superstar was taken to hospital with stomach issues before the first leg of Future Music Festival that year.

The producer, real name Tim Bergling, missed the Brisbane and Melbourne legs of the festival, and although he was able to play Sydney, Adelaide and Melbourne, poor health saw him cancel many shows over the next year.

Now Avicii, who retired from touring last year, has released a documentary called ‘True Stories’ that contains some raw vision of himself in hospital in Brisbane.

In a snippet of the film uploaded to Avicii’s social media, we see Aussie doctors advising him of the risks of not getting his gall bladder removed.

More footage sees Bergling riding in a car speaking to his tour manager a day later in the back of a car, although he looks  insanely sick and really just not alright.

Watch the trailer for ‘True Stories’ below.
