UK post-punk/indie-rock trio Bar Italia have shared details of their debut Australian tour, set to take place in the first week of June 2024. The band were announced earlier today (March 12) on the line-up for Melbourne’s RISING, where they will perform as part of the Day Tripper festival at Melbourne Town Hall alongside artists such as Yasiin Bey (FKA Mos Def) and HTRK.
The band released their debut album for Matador Records, Tracey Denim, in May 2023 – itself following on from 2020’s Quarrel and 2021’s bedhead, both released on Dean Blunt’s World Music imprint. Tracey Denim was followed up just under six months later with the release of The Twits, which featured the singles ‘my little tony’ and ‘Jelsy’.
