Beddy Rays have announced a national Australian tour to celebrate the release of their second studio album, Do What You Wanna. The follow-up to their ARIA-nominated self-titled 2022 debut was released on Good Friday (April 17th), with the band now set to tour the album throughout August. The full list of the band’s upcoming tour dates can be found below.
“We can’t bloody wait to party with all of you and give this album a proper nod,” said the band in a joint statement announcing the tour. “Gee up your mates and lets fuckin’ have it, shall we?” The six-date run will take the band to capital cities in most states, with special guests to be announced at a later date. It will follow on from a tour of the UK and mainland Europe, which the quartet will undertake across most of May into early June 2025, as well as their recent tour with King Stingray.
Beddy Rays – ‘Stay The Same’
To launch the album, the band played a series of free acoustic sets over the Easter long weekend – including at the Community Hall in their native Redland Bay, Crowbar in Sydney, Music Farmers in Wollongong, Rudderless Records in Newcastle, Badlands on the Gold Coast, Howl & Moan in Byron Bay and Clarity Records in Adelaide. The acoustic run will conclude this week with an appearance at Oh Jean Records in Melbourne tomorrow (April 23rd), followed by two Brisbane shows on Thursday: Sonic Sherpa in the afternoon, and a boat cruise that evening.
