BIGSOUND 2013 Announces Nick Cave As Keynote Speaker

Organisers of BIGSOUND, one of the biggest music industry events to take place in the Southern Hemisphere, have today announced the guest speakers for the 2-day event. It’s going to be a big year for the conference with the Music+Design department selecting some of the biggest names in the local, and international industry to impart their wisdom onto the next generation of industry figures.

The man who needs no introduction, Nick Cave will be featuring in the Keynote interview conducted by RockWhiz host Julia Zemiro, set to take place via video link on the first day of the conference.

VJ Vello Virkhaus from V Squared Labs will cap off the day with a keynote address where he will no doubt reference his experience providing visuals for the likes of Amon Tobin, Coldplay, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Skrillex.

The following day will see one more Keynote address from another well-established VJ John Warwicker, co-founder of master of all trades creative studio Tomato.

The list of speakers goes on with Vice’s Josh Gardiner taking to the podium as well as photographer Tony Mott and Kirsten Doak from Harpers Bazaar. You can browse the full list of professionals below.

In conjunction with INDESIGN, BIGSOUND 2013 will also be home to the Artisan Beer+Design showcase. This is set to be a totally unique experience bringing together music, design and boutique Australian beers.
