BIGSOUND 2014 Lineup Announced

The organisers of the country’s leading music industry conference and showcase, Brisbane’s BIGSOUND, have announced the first round of acts for the 2014 BIGSOUND Live event. The packed roster of over 80 acts includes Alison Wonderland, Kingswood, and Tkay Maidza.

Also set to appear in front of an audience of industry figures and music lovers are rising Aussie hip-hop talent Remi, Sydney buzz band DMA’s, the retro quirkiness of Melbourne duo Client Liaison, the neo-psychedelic power of Deep Sea Arcade, the sample-heavy funk of Sampology, and more.

The event takes place over 10th and 11th September, with punters given the choice over 140 artists to experience over the two nights in fourteen incredible venues in the Fortitude Valley live music precinct, Brisbane’s iconic live music hub and the setting for many memorable performances.

Not only is the lineup one of BIGSOUND Live’s biggest and best, the site map of this year’s event will see an expansion north to include notable venues like The Underdog, Crowbar, The Elephant, and The New Globe, as well as welcoming a new outdoor venue behind Brightside and Magic City.

Tickets to BIGSOUND Live are available for $69 + booking fee from OzTix, while those looking for the full BIGSOUND experience, including access to the conference where an illustrious roster of industry experts are set to talk, still have time to grab some special rate tix from the BIGSOUND site.

UPDATE 09/09/14: Alison Wonderland has pulled out of BIGSOUND Live 2014. The DJ and producer, who was set to close out the inthemix stage at the Woolly Mammoth on Wednesday, 10th September, has now been replaced by Melbourne-based alt-R&B producer Oscar Key Sung.
