BIGSOUND 2019 organisers have shared the first round of live artists who will be showcasing at the festival across 18 different stages in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley Live Music Precinct.
Tones And I, Milan Ring, Tasman Keith, Bad//Dreems, and more lead the charge, with a total of 76/150 artists being announced today.
Also for the first time, BIGSOUND will be opening the Artist Village, creating a space for performing artists to relax and network. The Artist Village includes the option of free accommodation on a first-in-best-dressed basis, with perks like complimentary breakfast and more.
This space will be open to all BIGSOUND artists from 10am until 4pm daily, including free wifi, artist workshops, safe zone with mental health counsellors, rehearsal rooms and more.
Back in April, BIGSOUND shared some key details of this year’s run, including dates, a venue change and some massive programme expansions.
This year’s BIGSOUND will be happening from Tuesday, 3rd to Friday, 6th September at its new home at the iconic Cloudland in Fortitude Valley. They chose this venue for a number of reasons, including its ability to allow the conference more flexibility.
BIGSOUND’s app has also been updated with a unique streaming service integration. This allows attendees to receive a personalised discovery playlist from the BIGSOUND lineup based on things like listening history.
Tickets for BIGSOUND Festival will go on sale Thursday, June 27 from 9am via Oztix.
