Billboard Music Awards Announce 2020 Nominations, Led By Post Malone

Billboard have announced the nominations for their 2020 Music Awards, which are dominated by Post Malone. The US rapper is named 16 times across 15 categories, including ‘Top Artist’, ‘Top Billboard 200 Album’ and ‘Top Hot 100 Song’.

Other artists up for a slew of awards include Lil Nas X (13 nominations) along with Billie Eilish and Khalid, who are each nominated 12 times.

Of note is Kanye West‘s inclusion in a range of Christian music categories as a result of his gospel-inflected 2019 album Jesus Is King. Yeezy has four tracks in the Top Gospel Song category, one in the Top Christian Song category, and is up for both Top Christian Album and Top Gospel Album awards for Jesus Is King.

This year’s awards are based on the period between March 23, 2019 to March 14, 2020. The awards ceremony – originally intended to take place in late April – will be be broadcast live from Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on Wednesday, 14th October, with Kelly Clarkson on hosting duties.
