Billie Eilish, despite being the biggest artist in the world, is a noted fan of the US version of The Office, and now she’s finally appeared on The Office‘s Brian Baumgartner’s podcast on the show, An Oral History Of The Office.
Eilish appeared on the podcast’s final episode, which discussed about the show’s lasting appeal to younger generations. For reference, the show ran its final episode when Eilish was just 11 years old.
She was clearly excited to be there, saying “this is crazy!” when she tuned into the podcast via FaceTime. The show’s lead, Steve Carell, was also there for the call.
“Honestly, because I’ve been getting older, every time I watch it I understand something new because I started at 12,” she said.
“Most of the things that I know are because of The Office. I swear to god.”
She also outlined that she has watched the series the full way through a staggering 14 times.
“It’s just not stressful, maybe it’s because I’ve seen it so many times,” she said.
“I never watch it on a TV or anything. I put my phone on a little table, and I clean my room or leave the room or I’m in the shower or something.
“It takes me away from the reality of my life. It’s a safe space.”
Eilish’s fandom of the show has been well depicted, most notably when a segment of the show was sampled on her track ‘my strange addiction’, which appeared on Eilish’s debut album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?
