For the first time in the band’s extensive history, Black Flag have announced that they will be heading to Australia for a string of tour dates. Fronted by vocalist Ron Reyes, the long overdue Aussie tour will take place this November as part of the Hits And Pits 2.0 festival.
You’d be hard pressed to find a band that emerged from the punk scene to become as influential and seminal as Black Flag. In a time when there were no guidelines for such groups, and no precedence of success, Black Flag slashed and burned their way through, creating a path for their successors.
After numerous line up changes the Black Flag name soon became defunct, until earlier this year when Reyes announced he would be getting the band back together and dropped two brand new tracks, Down In The Dirt and The Chase.
As an added bonus, Good For You have also been added to the ever-growing Hits and Pits line up. Fronted by Bones Brigade member Mike Vallely and featuring Black Flag guitarist Greg Ginn, the band is currently safely coasting high atop of wave of support kicked up by their 2013 release Life Is Too Short To Short To Not Hold A Grudge.
