Black Sabbath 2016 Australian Tour Announced

Metal masters Black Sabbath are set to return to Australia in April 2016 as part of their The End farewell tour, which will be the band’s final jaunt around the world.

After performing across North America in January and February, Sabbath will hit up Aussie arenas in Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, and are promising to bring “their most mesmerising production ever”. Following their Aussie dates, the band will also perform two shows in New Zealand.

Black Sabbath last toured Australia in 2013, and will return with the same lineup — Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler — this time around. Original drummer Bill Ward is sitting out the tour, but his replacement is yet to be announced.

Ozzy Osbourne has confirmed that the final Black Sabbath album is planned for release sometime in 2016. The record will be the follow-up to 2013’s 13, which was the band’s first studio album with Osbourne since 1978’s Never Say Die!.

The Aussie leg of Sabbath’s The End tour kicks off in Perth on 15th April. Catch full tour details, below.
