To celebrate 50 years of Bob Dylan, five current and prolific Australian artists have come together to pay homage to the legendary songsmith.
Bob Dylan Night – The 50th Anniversary Concert has just been announced. The show is a tribute to the musical mastery of Dylan, whose songs will be covered by Holly Throsby, Kevin Mitchell (aka Bob Evans, Jebediah), Josh Pyke, Kav Temperley (Eskimo Joe) and Patience Hodgson (The Grates).
Backed by a six-piece band, the five artists would have had a hard time selecting from over 500 songs, with many of Dylan’s classic tracks having long since proven themselves timeless and seared into our collective memories. Luckily for them, it’s up to the fans to decide on the playlist, with people being able to vote for they songs they want to hear.
Bob Dylan Night – The 50th Anniversary Concert runs through July, with the show stopping in Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney and Byron Bay.
