A Bunch Of Splendour Sideshow Supports Have Just Been Announced

With Splendour In The Grass 2016 just over two weeks away, a slew of Splendour Sideshows will be kicking off across the country as some of the biggest names coming down under start off their Australian tours.

Now a heap of acts have announced who’ll be supporting them around the country; including American outfits Band Of Horses, At The Drive-In, Beach Slang and Mark Lanegan, and British acts Jake Bugg and Spring King.

For starters; Band Of Horses will be supported by The Drones’ Gareth Liddiard and his specially commissioned, world first performance titled MK-Ultra.

Joining At The Drive-In for their string of sideshows will be up-and-coming Adelaide alternative outfit BAD//DREEMS; who will jump straight back on the road with DMA’s afterwards.

Inner-west hailing The Laurels will support US singer-songwriter Mark Lanegan for his Sydney sideshow, and for his Melbourne show he’ll be accompanied by former Drones drummer Mike Noga and his new band.

Jake Bugg had already announced that Blossoms would be supporting his Sydney and Melbourne shows, but has now revealed that his Perth sideshow will see local singer-songwriter Peter Bibby on crowd warm-up duties.

Finally, Spring King and Beach Slang’s massive dual-headlining shows will see Sydney garage outfit Food Court play the supporting role, and James Blake also announced last week that his shows would be supported by veteran producer Mark Pritchard.
