Up-and-coming rapper Smoke Dawg, was reportedly been shot dead on Saturday night. He was just 21 years old.
Toronto network CP24 is reporting that the shooting went down outside a nightclub called Cube. Multiple witnesses reportedly heard gunshots, with two men and one woman taken to hospital with one of those men thought to be the rapper. While Toronto police have yet to confirm the identity of the victim, those close to Smoke Dawg have started posting tributes to the rapper confirming that he was indeed killed in the shooting.
The most well-known of Smoke Dawg’s associates include UK grime icon Skepta and Drake, also hailing from Toronto, who posted a tribute to the rapper on his Instagram.

Smoke Dawg hit it big in 2015 with ‘Still’ and ‘Trap House (remix)’, and opened for Drake on his Boy Meets World tour in February/March 2017. RIP Smoke Dawg.
