Cee-Lo Green has been forced to take to social media to let fans know that he’s alive after a video circulated of a phone blowing up in Green’s hand.
CCTV footage showed Green fall to the floor after a phone blew up while had it held up to his ear. Social media immediately assumed it was a Samsung Galaxy Note 7, the phone that was recalled worldwide after numerous phones blew up.
It took Green a while to address the situation, making fans worried about his health but now he’s taken to Facebook to let everyone know that the video is not real.
During a Facebook Live session, he said, “I just want to let everyone know that I am alive.”
“I’m really upset that anyone had to be emotionally disturbed by what they saw today.”
The clip was actually taken from a video he’s making for a new project he’s working on called Gnarly Davidson.
It’s only a small part of a wider video that he will release in the future which introduces the new project and “the new character identity”.
Somebody has obviously leaked the clip prematurely and spread panic about the well-being of the singer.
The good news in all this is, that he’s well and, by the sounds of it, he’s going to be releasing new material.
His last solo record was 2015’s Heart Blanche.
