Darkinjung/Central Coast-based alternative-emo act Deadshowws aren’t letting last week’s Cyclone Alfred-inflicted cancellation of New Bloom Fest get them down. The four-piece have bounced back from the disappointment with a brand new single and fresh tour announcement of their very own.
Dubbed ‘I Should’, Deadshowws’ new song is cathartic cut of roaring alternative-emo, channelling 2000’s punk, hardcore and emo sonics into powerfully personal storytelling.
Deadshowws – ‘I Should’
“It’s a song about battling yourself to get better,” the band explains in a press statement about the track. “It’s a short version, recounting my experience with the people I love begging me to seek help and my struggle in doing so while wallowing in a self-made pit of hopelessness.”
Impressively, ‘I Should’ was produced and mixed by Deadshowws lead singer Connor Massey himself at iconic Central Coast studio, The Grove.
In honour of the new release, the band have announced a trio of headline tour dates across NSW, hitting Newcastle, Sydney and Wollongong this April.
