New Bloom Festival Brisbane Cancelled Due To Cyclone Alfred

Cyclone Alfred has claimed another big event. After the impending tropical storm triggered the cancellation of Green Day’s Gold Coast show, it’s now done the same to the Brisbane leg of New Bloom Festival.

“The safety and well-being of all of our attendees, bands and staff are of utmost priority, and ticket holders will be contacted directly via Ticketmaster regarding the cancellation and refunds,” a statement from organisers read.

Unfortunately, lineup act Drain’s headline sideshow on the Sunshine Coast this Thursday, 6th March has also been cancelled, as well as Sweet Pill’s headline sideshow in Brisbane this Friday, 7th March.

Ticket holders for these sideshows will be contacted directly about refunds from their point of purchase (Ticketmaster or Oztix) in the coming days.

In the wake of the cancellations, Santa Cruz hardcore punks Drain have been added to the lineup of Knotfest Sydney this Saturday, 8th March.

Meanwhile, the Sydney and Melbourne legs of New Bloom will still be going ahead as planned, with a lineup featuring UK post-grunge outfit Basement, Pennsylvanian emo-rock band Balance & Composure and loads more.
