Chet Faker, Matt Corby To Headline Inaugural Vanfest

NSW festival Vanfest isn’t taking any chances in its first year, bringing two of Australia’s most in-demand indie acts, Melbourne electronica champ Chet Faker and Sydney folk musician Matt Corby, to Forbes as the headlining acts for their “city meets country” event.

Faker and Corby join what is shaping up to be a very impressive all-Australian lineup. Alongside previously announced acts Bag Raiders and Van She, the festival now also welcomes British India, Allday, and dance floor fillers Sneaky Sound System, among others, to the bill.

The emergent festival is the creation of father and son team Grant and Matt Clifton. Matt says he and his father are “blown away” that they could bring high-profile acts like Faker and Corby to Forbes in Vanfest’s first year, and are looking forward to bringing quality music to the NSW’s Central West.

“I can’t wait to bring the party to Forbes, where the locals have never really been able to enjoy these kind of musical acts so close to home.”

Vanfest will take place at the Forbes Showground on Saturday, 6th December. It is a one-day event running from 2:30pm-11:30pm. Vanfest will also provide transport for those wanting to travel from out of town, and camping grounds are available if the trip home is too much hassle.

Tickets are on sale now. You can check out the currently announced acts, plus ticket and venue details, below. For full details visit Vanfest’s official site.
