The I OH YOU clan could not be more thrilled to announce the addition of Melbourne’s City Calm Down to their ever-expanding family. Along with the deal, City Calm Down have announced that they will be releasing a brand new EP.
The band have been on the radar of the label for some time now, which is testament to the band’s ability to steal the attention of not only fans, but also industry figures. Having shared the stage with heavyweights such as Faithless, Miami Horror, Bag Raiders and Last Dinosaurs, City Calm Down have mastered their live performance, to sweep onto the stage “like an icy wind and snap the audience out of their stupor.”
Their first act of business with I OH YOU will be Movements. The band’s soon-to-be-released EP sees the gang totally bring their A-game, channeling their haunting vocal melodies, grimy synth sounds and charging bass lines onto disc. The EP will hit shelves (both the physical and digital kind) November 2nd. The band teamed up with Malcolm Besley (Snakadaktal, Gold Fields) for the release, which has everyone involved itching to hand it down to fans.
