Coachella’s 2022 Lineup Has Us Keen For A Desert Getaway

After two years of cancellations, Coachella is returning to the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California across two weekends in April.

It’s headliners – Kanye West (now known as Ye), Billie Eilish and Harry Styles – are locked in for both weekends (April 15 -17, April 22-24) and when it comes to the rest of the lineup, it’s definitely clear that Coachella are back in full effect.

The news comes after Travis Scott was officially dropped from the festival, having originally been booked as a headliner for 2020, after the events at Astroworld 2021.

Along with Billie, Harry and Ye, Coachella welcomes artists including Phoebe Bridgers, Disclosure, Megan Thee Stallion, 21 Savage, and BROCKHAMPTON. Australian talent including Amyl & The Sniffers, The Chats, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Flume and Dom Dolla are also confirmed, with Sampa The Great (yes, we’re still gonna claim her) also bound for the desert.

When Coachella was cancelled back in 2020 due to the initial onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, it was the first time it had fully cancelled proceedings in 20 years. Then, with conditions not really improving enough for it to go ahead last year, they made the decision to pull the pin in 2021 too. The original 2020 headliners along with Scott – Frank Ocean and Rage Against The Machine – haven’t been featured on this year’s bill, though Frank Ocean has been reportedly locked in to headline in 2023.

Tickets have already sold out for the first weekend (there’s a waitlist option available), though pre-sales for the second weekend of Coachella are open for registration through their website.
