Converse ‘Get Loud’ Series Wraps Up With Highlights Reel

The Australian leg of the Converse Get Loud live series has finished up, leaving us with thumping hangovers, hazy memories of crazy gigs and, now, a wild wrap-up video. Over the past few months, some of the most most buzzworthy talent from Australia and OS spread across the country for a run of shows at DIY venues, all in the name of a good time.

Drunk Mums, Gung Ho and Bad//Dreems set up shop in a Freemason meeting room somewhere in Adelaide, while DZ Deathrays, Ham Jam and Doctopus followed suit at a temporary art space in Perth. The Queensland leg saw The Laurels, The Murlocs and Tiny Migrants perform inside a metal chain factory in Brissy, and The King Khan and BBQ Show and Palms at some guy’s house in Sydney.

Get Loud gave these just-on-the-radar acts the opportunity to showcase their wares at guerilla-style events which were both intimate and free. On the night, punters were given disposable cameras to capture the event from their perspective. You can check out some snaps over on the Get Loud Tumblr.

Highlights from the tours were also caught and compiled into the below video, which is soundtracked by Drunk Mums’ Chitty Chitty.
